‘Untamed’ Series Renewed for Season Two
According to Cinemadrame News Agency, Netflix has announced that it will produce a second season of the series Untamed, starring Australian actor Eric Bana. The first season of this series received an 80% rating on Rotten Tomatoes based on 51 reviews.
Written by Mark L. Smith and Ellie Smith, the series follows a special agent of the National Park Service named Kyle Turner, whose job is to ensure the enforcement of the law in the wild. After a brutal murder occurs, Turner uncovers sinister secrets about the park and his own past. Sam Neill and Rosemarie DeWitt were among the other actors in the first season.
In the second season, Kyle Turner will return to investigate another mystery. The final episode of the first season showed him leaving Yosemite National Park and hitting the road.
Untamed was originally intended to be a miniseries, but positive feedback and its achievement of the top spot among the week’s most-watched television titles after its July 17 release led Netflix to greenlight a second season.
Mark L. Smith and Ellie Smith served as showrunners and, along with Bana, John Wells, and Erin Gianto, were executive producers of the series.
